On 16-22 October “Adult Education and Lifelong Learning” (www.mku.am)  Association and the Armenian branch of dvv international organize the 8th annual “Adult Education Week in Armenia - 2011”.

Among the supporters of the event are the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia, the British Council Armenia and a number of other organizations. The Week will include roundtable discussions, seminars and exhibitions in three cities of Armenia – Yerevan, Gyumri and Ijevan. The main aim of the event is to raise the awareness about non-formal educational system and adult education. The participants of the event will have an opportunity to get informed about new professions and the labour market needs and review the choice of their profession.

The Week will start on 16 October with “Adult Education and Lifelong Learning” Exhibition (held in BALL ROOM, BEST WESTERN CONGRESS HOTEL). Tanger recruitment company as a co-founder of the “Adult Education and Lifelong Learning” (AE&LLL) Association will also participate in the exhibition and will hold a rally on the free registration of those who are in search of work.

On 19 and 21 October “Education Days” will be organized in Ijevan and Gyumri. During these days a number of exhibition and roundtable discussions will be held. The aim is to inform the society about the main problems and developing trends of Lifelong Learning and Adult Education. In all three cities a film telling about the activities of “Adult Education and Lifelong Learning Association” NGO will be screened.

On 17 October a meeting with ETF (European Training Foundation) representatives will be organized in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Republic of Armenia. On the same day the manual published by the British Council will be presented in the Youth Professional Orientation Centre.

On 18 October CONFINTEA VI will be summed up in Picasso Hall (BEST WESTERN CONGRESS HOTEL).

On 20 October a scientific seminar will be organized in Yerevan State Pedagogical University after Kh. Abovyan.

On 22 October a discussion will be organized to get better informed about the contest for journalists on “Adult Education and Lifelong Learning”. The discussion will be held in Tempus Yerevan Office.

The experience shows that a great number of people of different ages will take part in the event. The entrance for all the events is free.
