On October 11-12, 2011 the Republican Union of the Employers of Armenia organized second national conference dedicated to the social partnership that targeted security and health safety at work, highlighting related issues at organizations, as well as international and local experiences in the field of labor safety, exposure to the advance experience of International Labor Organization and Center for the Safety and Health Protection at Work at EU. The conference also hosted an exhibition on Labor Safety with the participation of local and international organizations. Among the relevant and distinguished partners were the Prime minister of Armenia, Ministers on Labor and Social Affairs, of Education and Sciences, of Economy, of Emergency Situations, Energy, as well as representatives of trade unions.

On October 7, 2011 Tanger recruitment agency was among the participants at the Career fair at the Sport complex after K. Demirchyan. The fair ran concurrent with the international DigiTec expo dedicated to the IT field. The Agency granted the attendees and job seekers with the opportunities to register free of charge at the Agency’s database.The event aimed at assisting the companies in search for the employees in the represented field, accessing information about the labor market situation, employment programs, as well as advertising for the services offered.

The Career fair was organized by the State Labor Services agency and United IT Enterprises.

On 16-22 October “Adult Education and Lifelong Learning” (www.mku.am)  Association and the Armenian branch of dvv international organize the 8^th annual “Adult Education Week in Armenia - 2011”.

Among the supporters of the event are the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia, the British Council Armenia and a number of other organizations. The Week will include roundtable discussions, seminars and exhibitions in three cities of Armenia – Yerevan, Gyumri and Ijevan. The main aim of the event is to raise the awareness about non-formal educational system and adult education. The participants of the event will have an opportunity to get informed about new professions and the labour market needs and review the choice of their profession.

On September 26, 2011 International Center for Human Development (ICHD) within the frameworks of its new project organized a meeting with the institutions interested in cooperation. Run by ICHD in conjunction with the International Migration Organization and funded by the European Union, this is a three-year project titled as Strengthening Evidence-Based Management of Labour Migration in Armenia. The project pursues long-term goal of preventing the haphazard migration of Armenian people through introducing the migration regulation processes, namely through promotion of the labor migration regulation. The meeting was represented by private agencies engaged in international labor migration regulation, as well as State Migration Service represented by the head of the service agency, Mr. Gagik Yeganyan.

Seminars held in Republican Union of Employers of Armenia

July 6 through 15 Tanger recruitment agency participated in the seminars run by the Republican Union of Employers of Armenia. The topics included Safety and Security at work, Business planning, Corporate culture and Human resources management, Capacity building for employment agencies. The seminars housed jobseekers registered in our company, such as accountants, translators/interpreters and office managers. They all had a chance to meet a number of employers.

Round table discussion on forced labor, trafficking and of code of conduct for private employment agencies

From July 21 to 27, 2011 our organization participated in the round table discussion run by the Republican Union of Employers of Armenia. The discussions evolved around the topics, such as forced labor, trafficking, and code of conduct for employment agencies. The issues related to accreditation of employment agencies were also on the agenda of the discussion.

In the end of June, beginning of July 2011, the director of our company being also the President of the Union of the Private Recruitment Agencies under the auspices of the Republican Union of Employers of RA, Ms. Nana Heruni held an exposure visit to London as a member of delegation. The visit was organized by the International Labor Organization (ILO), and the delegation was comprised from the representatives of State Labor Service, Republican Union of Employers of Armenia, etc. During the week of the visit in London, the delegation held a number of meeting in the State Department of Security and Health of England, State Labor Service, Confederation of Private Employment Agencies, with structures of certifying agencies in the area of agriculture, Migration Committee, Confederation of professional unions of the United Kingdom, organizations dealing with rights of migrants and other organizations. The members of delegation learned many important things from the experience of the above-mentioned organizations, especially the experience of the cooperation of state and private services of employment.

The extraordinary congress of Republican Union of Employers of RA was taken place on June 4, 2011.

There were the following issues to be discussed in the agenda:
1. The Report about the activity of the Union during 2007-2010 - G. Makaryan;
2. Internal Control Committee report from 2007-2010;
3. New editing and additions in the Charter of the Union;
4. Election of a new President for the Union;
5. Election of a new Board for the Union;
6. Election of the Internal Control Committee;
7. The structure of the Vise Presidents of the Union.

Republican Union of Employers of RA jointly with the International Labor Organistaion (ILO) organized a job Fair for Promotion of Youth Employment on April 27, 2011 in Yerevan. The employers form IT sector, manufacturing, services, construction sectors were participated in the Fair.

"Tanger" recruiting company organized free registration and employment promotion during the Fair.

The director of "Tanger" requiting company being also the President of the Union of the Private Recruitment Agencies under the auspices of the Republican Union of Employers of RA, Ms. Nana Heruni was also present in the opening of the Fair and welcomed everyone.

On april 28 2011. the director of recruiting company TANGER met with a representative of the German organization Germany Trade & Invest Honesom Bern. The organization is a subject of the state structure and represents the business circles of Germany.
